Chris Age During Show: 30 Occupation: Stockbroker Lives: Long Island, NY Now he looks like the bowtie wearer. From Stock broker to Ice cream salesman. Let's see how far this butter cup goes. History Chris, 30, was raised in New York, and was an entrepreneur since he was 11. He started with a candy business, which followed with a landscaping business by 14. He sold flowers every holiday and Christmas trees in the winter. After being a stockbroker for 7 years, he opened his own firm. In less then 5 months he was ranked 13 th out of a field of over a thousand brokers, and his branch was 8 th out of 171. Perhaps most impressively, Chris has achieved all this with only a high school degree. Interview What is your definition of success? My personal definition of success is financial freedom, a loving relationship, good health, and strong ambition, which all leads to what we all want, peace of mind. Keep in mind, money itself doesn't make you successful. For example, have you ever seen a janitor who whistles while he works and as you walk by he smiles and gives you a warm hello? He might live check to check, but works hard, has a family, and is happy. That's also success. Who do admire both personally and professionally? On a personal level, I admire my mom, Madeline Inglese the most as a single parent since I was 3, she fought to keep a roof over our heads, while instilling strong family values. She was also very passionate about saving money and the value of the dollar. This is definitely the core to my success. Professionally, I would definitely say the big guy, Donald Trump. Come on, his story is self explanatory: real estate mogul, beautiful women, athletic, down to earth, etc. And that confident swagger! He's the definition of a "man's man." What did you learn from the last season of The Apprentice? I learned that with all the education that the cast had, they had a hard time using common sense. Sometimes, less is more. I also learned that Mr. Trump wants people to step up and not fly below the radar, and if he hits you in the boardroom, you better defend yourself or call it night, night. What has been your biggest challenge in the pursuit of your career goals? Fortunately, my career goals have been ahead of schedule. I am a partner in a stockbrokerage firm and I am surrounded by highly motivated, super competent people. My only challenge (which is small) is training new brokers to have the same mindset and how "not" to take short cuts in a business where a lot of people do. If you had a super power, what would it be and why? I would love to be able to see in slow motion, but react in real time. Think about how cool that is. I would be the #1 athlete, e.g. hockey goalie, baseball player, boxer etc. I would be unstoppable.
