 Bad News for Restaurant - Not gonna happenThe story ended with Chodorow and Rocco as they went to court on August 31st, 2005 for a trial to see who owned the restuarant. Well it turned out Rocco didn't own it. So you are asking what happened to Rocco since? Well the Restuarant closed and Rocco is doing his own thing, writing books, and doing celebrity guest shots. The show was a drama made to happen as Rocco never was at the restuarant prior and before it's closure. He was shown as the man but really he was there under Burnett's guidance. They evened dubbed in fake conversation so make meeting sound different and overheard conversation that were never overheard become something more. It was not a real reality show as the fluff was there for you to be entertained. Funny thing was Rocco was barred from the Restuarant and Chodorow's lawyer, Laurence Kaiser stated they planned on closing it and re-opening it with a new theme with guest chefs. The problem though it is about a man named Rocco, who let fame and fortune get to him and stopped caring about the little things. The second season opened with the Restaurant in the hole by a half million dollars and Jeffrey the silent partner was no longer silent. Jeffrey sent in his own people to clean the Restaurant up and make it profitable, Rocco did not like this and soon found out it was no longer his Restaurant. Jeffrey was serious and the in the end of the season he attempted to hand over a $100,000 check to buy Rocco out. Rocco looked prelexed and stated he would need time to think about it. So Jeffrey filed a lawsuit: Spagetti Western Recent news had Rocco get a court order by a judge to be allowed to get back in the Restaurant to take pictures for his new book: "Rocco's Italian American Cooking" . This would mean he was banned by Jeffrey Chodorow's: China Grill Management who wanted the Restaurant for themselves and get back the money Rocco stole from them.
